1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GetPlainDoc (the Service), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (Terms). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (User, you) and GetPlainDoc (we, us, our).

2. Description of Service

GetPlainDoc provides AI-powered analysis of legal documents and contracts. The Service includes:

• Document upload and text processing
• AI-generated analysis including health scores, red flag detection, clause breakdowns, and plain language summaries
• Output in 11 supported languages
• Follow-up chat feature (3 free questions, unlimited for $3)
• Downloadable PDF reports

3. User Responsibilities

By using GetPlainDoc, you agree that:

• You have the legal right to upload and analyze the document
• You will not upload confidential, classified, or privileged documents without authorization
• You will not use the Service for illegal purposes
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or abuse the Service
• You understand that AI analysis may contain errors and should be verified independently
• You are at least 18 years old

4. Payment Terms

Pricing

• Document Analysis: $7 per document (one-time payment)
• Chat Add-on: $3 per unlimited session (optional, up to 30 questions)

Payment Processing

• All payments are processed securely via Stripe
• Prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
• Payment is required before analysis begins

Refund Policy

All sales are final. Because AI analysis is delivered instantly and cannot be returned, we do not offer refunds once an analysis has been successfully delivered. However:

• If a technical error prevents analysis delivery, you will not be charged
• If you are charged but do not receive results due to our error, contact us for a refund
• If you accidentally analyze the wrong document, we cannot provide a refund (please review before paying)

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to documents you upload. By uploading, you grant us a temporary license to process the document solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Our Content

GetPlainDoc platform, code, design, branding, and AI analysis output are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The analysis output is provided to you for personal use only.

6. Limitation of Liability

IMPORTANT: GetPlainDoc is provided as is without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for decisions you make based on our analysis
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any analysis
• We are not liable for any financial, legal, or other losses resulting from use of the Service
• Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific analysis in question (maximum $10)

You use GetPlainDoc at your own risk. AI analysis should supplement, not replace, professional legal review.

7. Service Availability

• We strive for 99%+ uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with notice

8. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use GetPlainDoc to:

• Analyze confidential, classified, or privileged documents without authorization
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on third-party rights
• Abuse, hack, or overload our systems
• Resell or redistribute our analysis without permission

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate access for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent payment activity
• Abusive or illegal use of the Service

10. Governing Law & Disputes

• Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
• Jurisdiction: Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
• Dispute Resolution: Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at legal@getplaindoc.com to attempt good-faith resolution.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated Last Updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
