GetPlainDoc supports PDF, DOC, and DOCX file formats. You can also paste document text directly if you do not have a file to upload.

We accept documents up to 10MB in size. This comfortably covers the vast majority of contracts and important documents. If your file exceeds 10MB, try compressing it or copying and pasting the text directly using our paste text option.

GetPlainDoc can analyze documents up to approximately 100 pages. For documents exceeding this length we will analyze the most critical sections and notify you. Most standard contracts — leases, employment agreements, NDAs, freelance agreements — fall well within this limit.

Scanned PDFs are image-based rather than text-based, which can affect analysis accuracy. If we detect your document is scanned we will notify you before analysis begins. For best results, use a text-based PDF or copy and paste the document text directly using our paste text option.

Our analysis is powered by Claude Sonnet 4, one of the most advanced AI models for document analysis and reasoning. However, AI analysis should supplement, not replace, professional review for high-stakes decisions.

Yes. Our AI is trained on international contract patterns and adapts its analysis based on the jurisdiction referenced in the document. No. Your document text is processed in real-time and deleted immediately after analysis. We only store your analysis results (the output), not your original document. This ensures maximum privacy.

Only you. Your document is encrypted during upload, processed by our AI in a secure environment, and never shared with third parties (except Anthropic Claude API for analysis, which also does not store data).

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor used by millions of businesses. We never see or store your credit card details.

Yes. We minimize data collection, delete documents immediately, and respect user rights to access and delete their data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Document text is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for analysis, then the results are returned to you. Anthropic does not train on or retain data from API calls. We process payments through Stripe (US-based, PCI-DSS Level 1) and host our infrastructure on Vercel (US/EU regions). Your analysis results are stored in our MongoDB Atlas cluster only long enough to deliver them — typically minutes — and then purged by our retention service.

Yes. Pro users can delete any analysis from their dashboard at any time. Pay As You Go analyses are linked only to your payment session token and are auto-purged within 24 hours under our retention policy. To request deletion of all data associated with your email, contact support@getplaindoc.com.

No! Pay As You Go is completely anonymous. Just upload, pay $4.99, and get your analysis. Pro subscription requires an account for billing and accessing your analysis history.

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) via Stripe. We do not accept PayPal or cryptocurrency at this time.

Since AI analysis is instant and cannot be returned, all sales are final once the analysis is delivered. Pro subscriptions are non-refundable for partially used months. If you experience a technical issue preventing analysis, contact us for support.

Pay As You Go users get 3 free follow-up questions. Unlock unlimited questions (up to 30) for $3. Pro users get 10 questions included per analysis.

We do not offer a free trial of the full analysis, but every document gets a free pre-flight quality check before payment — so you only pay when we confirm the document is analyzable. There are no recurring charges in Pay As You Go: it is a true one-time $4.99 fee per document with no hidden costs.

Sales tax and VAT are calculated automatically by Stripe based on your billing address and applied at checkout. If you are a registered business, you can add your VAT or GST number during checkout to apply reverse-charge rules where applicable.

After your analysis is complete, GetPlainDoc can generate a professionally redlined version of your document with all problematic clauses replaced with fair alternatives — ready to send back to the other party for negotiation. It includes editor comments explaining every change.

It downloads immediately to your device as a Word document (.docx) the moment your payment is confirmed. No email required. The file includes tracked changes formatting with red strikethrough for removed clauses, green bold for new clauses, and blue italic comments explaining each change.

The Fix My Document feature costs $9.99 per document. Pro members receive a discount and pay only $4.99 per document. This is a one-time charge per document that requires fixing.

No. The redlined document is a negotiation starting point — a suggestion of changes you may wish to propose to the other party. Both parties must agree to any changes before they become binding. We recommend having a lawyer review high-value contracts.

No. Your redlined document is generated and delivered directly to your browser — nothing is stored on our servers. We respect your privacy and delete all document data immediately after generation.

The Fix My Document feature is only available for documents with CAUTION or RISKY verdicts. If your document receives a SAFE verdict, it means the document is already fair and balanced with no significant issues requiring correction.

If there is a technical error during analysis, you will not be charged. If you have already paid and did not receive results, contact us immediately for a resolution.

Yes! You can re-analyze the same document as many times as needed. Each analysis is independent and costs $4.99.
